Our house is located along the VANOISE National Park, at the South of Savoie region in the French Alps. Access is possible by car from mid-April to end October. In winter, you have to cross-country ski for 4 km to reach our chalet ! At its 1670m (5500 ft) altitude, this former refuge brings you at the starting point of various trails which will suit hiking specialists as well as families : in 6 major directions through different small valleys, these mountains offer you a great choice of 1 hour to 3 days tours (refer to our map). In this marvelous large house, made of stone and wood, we rent 2 "gites" (self-catering) : - "La Tournette", a very cosy 70m² flat for 6 people, comprised of 4 rooms : kitchen, living-room, parents bedroom, children bedroom (4 beds) and a 130m² (160 yd²) garden : dedicated to families - "Le Refuge", 70 m² for 6-10 people, has maintained its very charming mountain style : 4 separate night corners, a kitchen corner and a living corner ; toilets are modern but...outside ; and a 120 m² (150 yd²) garden : mountaineers love it, kids too ! - Both gites are well equipped and benefit from a tremendous view to the mountains and from possible visits of wild animals such as deer or fox.
